Holidays are often thought of as a time for peace, relaxation, and reflection. Looking back to previous years or traditions spent with family and friends, people come together to enjoy conversation, laughter, and of course, good food. However, not everyone has the same opportunity to travel or spend time with loved ones. Many of our soldiers will still be overseas, as their family and friends remember and think of them during this time.
Luckily, some soldiers will be home for the holidays and as a special way to honor their support to our nation, Fort Knox will be hosting the Welcome Home Ceremonies, and the Brigade will host a Holiday Adopt-A-Soldier Program.
Whether you want to host soldiers for a meal over the holidays, you’re looking to volunteer or participate in the Welcome Home Ceremonies at Fort Knox, or you’re a local business that would like to express thanks to our soldiers with special offers – there are many ways to get involved and give back to those who have given for our country.
